It’s Friday which means another weekly tea post (insert happy music and some super cheesy dance moves). This week flew by! All the days in quarantine seem to run together. Anyone else just livin’ where you don’t even know what day it is most of the time? This week has been slow, filled with snuggles, puzzles and even a day trip spent by the lake lounging in the hammock. It was a great change of pace and so nice to slow down enough to cherish some really sweet moments. But, let’s get to it!
Here’s what I’ve been loving this week…
1. A Color Story App. There’s not many apps I would pay a yearly subscription for but this one was soooo worth it! If you’re someone who takes a lot of pictures on your phone and edits said pictures on your phone, this app is full of beautiful presets and so many different editing options. Almost every photo you see on my social media has a color story preset over it. I have a massive girl crush on Elsie Larson (the creator of this app and owner of one of my favorite blogs A Beautiful Mess) and anything she creates is always stunning!
2. Zoom workouts with my girl gang. I was hesitant to join my friends for the weekly zoom workout but I finally did and it was uh-ma-zing!! If your stuck at home, consider getting some friends together and doing a virtual workout on zoom. It seriously makes the time go by sooo much faster when you’re doing it with friends. You can also join me on zoom for Yoga starting next week. Click here to see the weekly virtual class schedule.
3. My new Aeropress coffee maker. I am a relatively new coffee drinker mostly satisfying my cravings with Dunkin Donuts iced coffee and loads of pumpkin spice lattes during the fall. My Dunkin addiction was getting pricey and since I no longer pass one on the way home from dropping my daughter off at school each morning, I decided it was time to start making my own coffee at home. After asking my Facebook friends for their coffee maker recommendations, I was blown away by all of the comments. It was so fun to see how many people are so passionate about their coffee!! Per one of my friends recommendations, I got an Aeropress to start with. I might later snag a fancy French press or pour over, but for a coffee novice like me, the Aeropress felt like a good place to start and I can make my beloved iced lattes in about 2 minutes. It’s super easy to use and perfect for making a single serving of coffee. It’s also a breeze to clean up which is exactly what I need right now. So if you have some awesome coffee drink recipes, drop em’ in the comments because I’m brewing up all kinds of drinks now!
One more month and your girl will be a certified Life Coach!! I have been in training for quiet a while now and loving every moment of it. Talking with people one on one is one of my favorites. I’m not a big fan of crowds, but what I do love? Heart to heart conversations, hearing peoples stories, hearing their dreams + goals and struggles and saying “Let’s come up with a plan!” What I love about coaching is it’s not the same as counseling or teaching, rather it’s a lot of asking questions, of deep soul searching and helping the client come to experience their own revelation leading to positive change. I have thought about getting my coaching certification for years and finally decided now was the time. I am so excited to be able to offer a new skillset to my clients and help them take some serious steps towards their dreams. I’m also considering a trauma recovery coaching certification in the fall so will keep you guys posted as my offerings grow. In the meantime, the website will be getting some updates over the next couple of weeks so please bear with me during the transition.
Thanks so much for reading along with me today and I hope you all have a beautiful weekend!
