What I Wore This Week

Hello Friends, I hope your week is off to a beautiful start! I’m sharing another round of outfits with you this week and I hope you find them inspiring. A few weeks ago I went out and bought my first pair of jeans that I’ve had in years. Truth be told, through all the babies and pregnancies, I felt super discouraged about my weight so I just stuck to clothes that came in small, medium and large so I never had to face what size I was actually in. But I finally decided to take the advice that I’m constantly telling my Styling clients which is: Dress the body that your in now. Don’t wait until you loose weight to start dressing in a way that makes you feel great. So baby mama hips and all, I went to the store and bought a pair of jeans out of the juniors section. I was definitely not in the size that I wish I was in, But I’m also not nearly as overweight as I was in college (when I was about 35 pounds heavier than I am now). So I bought the jeans in the big size and you know what? I absolutely love them. They are comfortable, flattering and go with pretty much everything in my closet. So moral of the story, go out and buy the clothes that make you feel great, regardless of what size they are. Don’t wait until you “loose weight” to start dressing in a way that makes you feel fabulous. Thankfully, we don’t wear our clothes inside out anyways so no one is going to know what size your wearing 😉

Red, White, and Blue

Ahh, the colors of summer. I am completely over summer and ready to bring out the fall cardigans but since it’s still in the 90’s here in ATL, I decided I should wear all of my favorite summer outfits a few more times before it’s time to pack them away. So here’s to the last few weeks of rocking the red, white and blue color combo.

Shirt & Jeans – Walmart. Necklace – Charming Charlies. Shoes – Originally Target but I got them at goodwill (I featured these in last weeks outfit post.)

Shorts and Duster

I’ve been wearing this outfit on repeat because it’s comfortable, breezy and effortless. Basic white tee paired with Olive high waist shorts and my favorite duster pulled straight from The Local Gem. This duster will transition perfectly into fall which I love.

Shorts and Shirt – TJ Max. Crystal Necklace – Back by Popular Demand consignment shop. Navy Duster – The Local Gem Boutique. Also, Sunglasses are from Dollar Tree because…kids. Can I get an amen?! #momlife

Crochet Dress

I love this dress and it’s like it was made to go with this lace duster. I added the hat and boots for a little quirky, boho flair and called it a day! I didn’t want to over accessorize and take away from the crochet details on the bust of the dress.

Dress – A sweet friend and neighbor gave this dress to me and she got it from China!! I absolutely love having clothes/objects that have a cool story behind them and this beautiful dress is one of them. Neat objects with stories behind them are my love language. Lace Duster – A Garage Sale. Hat- Target. Boots – Walmart.
