I don’t know about you, but pretty much right after Christmas is over, I start longing for the days of spring filled with vibrant colors, days spent in the garden and leaving the back door open while the kids play outside. We have been having snow (what?!) here in Atlanta and temps falling into the teens leaving me to only dream of warmer days. If your like me and itching for spring, fear not! You can still incorporate some spring into your wardrobe. I normally steer clear of bright colors in my wardrobe but something about this jacket was just so FUN and happy I couldn’t pass it up. So if your feeling some winter blues, experiment with some brighter hues to lift your mood.
Also, in case you were waiting for someone to give you permission to have fun and play with your personal style a bit, let this be your permission slip! My everyday looks are usually pretty casual with comfort and function being at the forefront of my mind but sometimes I just wake up in the mood to feel FABULOUS and this outfit does just that. I tend to dress according to my current mood (to either match my mood or encourage the mood that I want to be in) and this outfit was the perfect midweek pick-me-up that I needed.
Style tip: Because this top is bold with it’s fabulous sleeves and colorful flowers, I choose earrings over a necklace to keep my neckline from looking too busy.
What I Wore: Floral Statement Jacket//from ZARA but I snagged this at goodwill new with tags for 1/10 the original price. WHAT?! Jeans: Thrift store jeggings because 3 week post partum mom bod here. Blush Pink Heals: ZARA but I also snagged these at a thrift store. Hot Pink Clutch: My husband got this for me at FAMILY DOLLAR. Did you even know that Family dollar sold purses? Me neither. Statement Earrings: Bought at a friends moving sale.
Ya’ll, living proof right here that style doesn’t always have to be expensive. It’s about finding what works for you and owning it! And with that, Happy Friday my friends.
Stay warm out there and stay fabulous.
